SWIIS Interpreting awarded BSL ContractThe Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust and Walsall Manor Hospital, part of Walsall Hospitals NHS Trust, have awarded SWIIS preferred supplier status for the supply of British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters.Commenting on the contract, Head of Interpreting David Forbes commented 'SWIIS is pleased and proud to support the Trusts in supply of BSL Interpreters. The ability to communicate between a medical professional and a patient is key in terms of the consultant's understanding of the patient and ensuring that the patient understands fully what is happening. Our interpreters act as a bridge between the medical professional and the patient and are a vital source of communication and support through the process.
